Not sure if you're in Ward 12? Here's how to check.
Ward 12 covers the Flour Mill, Donovan, Downtown, Uptown, New Sudbury and the Ferndale area of Minnow Lake.
To confirm your own address, check the City of Greater Sudbury's voter information page.
Online voting runs from October 16 to October 26. If you would rather vote on paper, here is where to do it.
You can vote at any of these locations.
Every one of them is a Vote Anywhere location, so your home address does not decide which one you use. If a poll near your work is easier than the one near your home, use that one.
Saturday, October 17 and Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monday, October 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Locations and hours are set by the City of Greater Sudbury. Voting locations from the City.
Sudbury has more going for it than most of us are feeling on the ground. Companies here are competing globally. Investment and new builds are happening. New jobs are starting to land.
But a lot of people look at their own street and don't see it in their roads or neighbourhoods.
Making the city work for the people who live here is the job.
My entire career has been building teams, making sure they have the tools to excel, and helping them succeed.
Currently, I'm Executive Director at Downtown Sudbury. Two years in, a big part of that job is helping community groups bring their ideas and their events to life. Our goal, and biggest success, is continually making the process of hosting events simpler than it was the time before. The win is never just the event. It's that the next group has a shorter and clearer path to success.
I also help businesses navigate their relationship with the city, and advocate on their behalf. That work has shown me how complicated a simple request can become, and where we can simplify the process to make it easier for everyone.
That's what I'll do on council. First I'll help you with your issue, then I'll go after the process that created it, so the next person doesn't have to make the call at all.
We have good people working for this city. Too often the system gets in their way, and a resident calling for help gets handed between multiple departments while nobody owns the problem. I'll own it. Getting city staff, the rest of council and the community playing on the same team is most of where a councillor can make real change.
Ward 12 carries some of the city's oldest roads, pipes and sidewalks. That work has to get done, and it has to be done with residents in the loop. You'll know when construction is coming to your street and how to prepare for it.
I'm running so that you get the best out of your city, whether you're a resident with a problem, a community group with an idea, or someone starting a business here.
You deserve a city and neighbourhood you are proud of.
For Team Sudbury. For Team Twelve.
